Performance Levels
LHA Assessors registered with LHA and listed on this website can assess a Design or an As-Built dwelling as meeting the Livable Housing Silver, Gold or Platinum performance levels.
Certification Process
Achieving LHA’s Silver, Gold and Platinum performance levels provide the basis for home that has been designed and built with livability in mind. For a dwelling to achieve one of LHA’s Silver, Gold or Platinum performance levels means it has been assessed either at the Design stage; providing Provisional certification based upon documentation valid for 2 years or until construction commences, or at the Final-As-Built stage; providing a Final-As-Built Certificate of the actual built dwelling valid for 7 years, by a qualified and registered LHA Assessor.
Only LHA Assessors registered with LHA and listed on the LHA website can assess a Design or an As-Built dwelling as meeting the Livable Housing Silver, Gold or Platinum performance levels and issue the LHA Assessment Certificate of Compliance.
Dwellings that are assessed as compliant with one of LHA’s performance levels and registered with LHA and can be marketed as being livable to future home buyers, renters, or used to qualify for incentive schemes promoting livability in communities.

Confirm the Stage and Level of Assessment Required
Provide written confirmation with the selected Assessor of the which stage assessment you require: Design Stage or Final-As-Built Stage and which LHA Performance Level you are aiming to comply with; Silver, Gold or Platinum.
Your LHA Assessor Undertakes the Assessment
Based on either your dwelling’s designs or the actual built dwelling your LHA Assessor will undertake an assessment that your dwelling complies with one of LHA’s Performance levels.
Assessment Completed
Your chosen LHA Assessor will make an assessment of your designs or as-built dwelling and issue you with your relevant LHA Provisional – Design Certificate or LHA Final-As-Built Certificate and lodge the assessment with LHA. Final-As-Built assessments can be included as a Certified LHA Dwelling on LHA’s website
